Delete„Defect‟ means any fault, imperfection or shortcoming in the Quality, quantity or
purity of goods.
2. The provider of services if they are deficient in any manner.
„Deficiency‟ means any imperfection, shortcoming or Inadequacy in the quality,
nature and manner of performance of Services.

ReplyDeleteNo , Bharat Electricals can not file complaint against seller because according to Consumer Protection Act a person who obtains goods for re-sale or any commercial purpose is not consumer .So Prakhar can file complaint but Bharat Electricals can not.

How can we get to know that the product that we are consuming is veg or non veg?
ReplyDeletePackaged food products sold in India are required to be labelled with a mandatory mark in order to be distinguished between vegetarian and non-vegetarian.According to the law, vegetarian food should be identified by a green dot symbol and non-vegetarian food with a brown dot symbol.

this change has taken place due to increased competition .Now consumers have wider choice and they can shift to some other vendor if they feel that they are cheated or getting bad quality product. For Example : Chemist selling you medicines will ensure that they are not expired before giving it to you. You may or may not check it but chemist knows that he will loose his customer if he is not aware.

ReplyDeleteYes , Esha can file complaint as she is consumer under Consumer Protection Act as she is using the product with the permission of buyer .But she should take Cash Memo from her sister as proof of purchase.
