We asked few questions for our Business Studies blog from students scoring 100/100 in Business Studies so as to facilitate our Commerce
students
1. RIDHIMA MEHTA , DPS VASANT KUNJ
1.
How many hours in a day, you use to devote for preparing this
subject?
Business Studies requires continuous reading. I used
to study Business Studies thrice a week for 1 hour. This helped me clear my
concepts and develop a better understanding. I believe Business Studies should
not be left for the end because one tends to forget it. So a constant revision
is required throughout the year.
2.
Which books did you refer for the preparation of this
subject?
NCERT is the key to score well in Business Studies.
A thorough reading of NCERT is mandatory with all its questions attempted. In
addition to NCERT, Book by Subhash Dey and school assignment, study material ,
notes by teacher and previous year questions helped me complete my preparation
for boards.
3.Tell
us about your methodology for studying this subject?
Business Studies is a theoretical subject. Being
vast in nature, short notes, diagrams, pointers can aid the learning process.
Acronyms can be of great help. In addition to this, school Monday tests and
exams provide with a good range of indirect questions. Hence the school tests should be taken
seriously
4.Which Support material other than
books, you used for your preparation?
I used “Together with”, “U-like Sample
paper” and the school blog apart from the main books. Business Studies blog by our teachers provides a
series of long, short and objective type questions which are imperative in the
preparation of board exams.
5.
What
Tips and tricks would you like to share with students?
Being serious about the school
exams proves to be uselful. They are an important part of preparation. HEADINGS
are the most important thing in Business Studies. One should be thorough with
the headings. Also time management during the exam is extremely essential.
Prepare schedules, keep in mind scoring topics, your strong and weak topics and
work on them.
6.In
end , Please share your success mantra .
I focused on concepts and worked on my
weaknesses.
Self study, dedication and consistency are the most
important ingredients in scoring well in Business Studies.
2.VENI ARORA , DPS VASANT KUNJ
1.
How many hours in a day, you use to devote on preparing this subject?
For Business Studies, it’s very important to be regular.
Normally people think of it as a theory subject and mug it up at the end of the
year. But for a board examination, it’s important to understand the text. I
used to give one hour every day after school to revise the chapter that ma’am
taught us.
2.
Which books did you refer for the preparation of this subject?
NCERT was very helpful. It’s the most reliable one. Business
Studies by Subhash Dey also has really good practice questions and is an
exhaustive study material.
Apart from that, I made my own notes.
3.
Tell us about you methodology for studying this subject?
It’s essential to make notes. As everyone says, writing
always helps in better and faster learning. Apart from that, one should make
sure that they take a minimum of 5 tests in the month of February. This helps
boost confidence.
4.
Which Support material other than books, you used for your preparation?
Bst blog really helped me. I did each and every question
given here. Also, Kendriya Vidyalaya Study Material available on the blog,
along with various presentations, truly helped strengthen my concepts.
5.
What Tips and tricks would you like to share with students?
It’s important to emphasize on the
fact that you don’t need to learn it up. Understanding each and every line is
what will help at the end. While attempting a board exam, the pressure is so
high that it’s difficult to recall what you learned, but what you understand
always stays with you. One should never let the pressure get to them and must
attempt the board with great calmness and clarity.
6.In
end , Please share your success mantra .
According to me, hard work is the key to success. Making a
few sacrifices and working beyond your comfort zone is what will make you
worthy of achieving a 100.
Thanks alot its very useful thank you so much.
