TACTICS
TO SCORE WELL IN BUSINESS STUDIES PAPER

I.
GETTING READY
*Take proper sleep at
night, at least 7 hours.
* Stop studying at 9am.
* Remember to take all stationary
n Admit Card to d centre
MUST SEEK BLESSINGS FROM
ELDERS AND GOD!!
II.
TIME MANAGEMENT
* Utilise reading time
optimally.
*In case studies, READ
STATEMENT OF QUESTIONS FIRST AND THEN THE CASE, IT SAVES A LOT OF TIME.
*Preferably read paper in
Reverse Order n decide/identify firmly the Concepts/Topics to b written in 6
and 5 Marks questions.
* Use Mantra of 2 Minutes
for 1 Mark.
* In other words, each 6
Marks question must b done in approx 12 minutes, 5 marks question in 10 minutes
n so on.(Follow it as much as possible)
* This will save 20
minutes for Revision.
III.
ATTEMPTING THE PAPER
*MUST ATTEMPT ALL THE
QUESTIONS (Cross-check twice that all questions are completed)
*Preferably Attempt the
Paper in Reverse order...6m, 5m.....and so on.
*Give header 6 MARKS
QUESTIONS, before beginning last three questions...and so on.
* Must write OPENING
STATEMENT before attempting all questions (specially 4/5/6 marks questions)
* Make DIAGRAMS, TABLES,
NOTATIONS, PICTORIAL PRESENTATION AND CHARTS as much as possible in the paper(
along with ensuring that paper is completed well in time)
* Make such diagrams and
tables before beginning explanation.
* Do UNDERLINE all
important point headings, key words and statements/phrases that you are
confident of.
* In case identification,
quoting lines and explanation, all three are asked in one question, preferably
PRESENT IT IN TABULAR FORM.
* Give examples as much
as possible.
* Give appropriate
SPACING between points and questions. Preferably begin each 5 and 6 Marks question
from new page.
* While quoting lines, do
mention the important words or phrases that helped you in identifying the
concept. Do not miss those key words in....... between first few and last few
words.
* Quoted lines must be
written in "...".
*WRITE QUESTION NUMBER
VERY CLEARLY
*Attempt one question
only ONCE.
* DO NOT USE UNFAIR
MEANS.
VERY
IMPORTANT TIP
In case you feel confused
in two concepts, in rarest of situations, give both concepts along with
justification for them, to be on safer side.
